This is the best written of the Clouseau series. The most insane one is "The Pink Panther Strikes Again". This script was written by William Peter Blatty, who at the time was a comedy writer, but he would eventually become best known for his novel and screenplay of the horror classic, "The Exorcist".

I've heard people talk about how crafting an entire TV episode or movie around a singular scene can be quite challenging as the writing then has to carry all the weight. But when it does work, it's quite impressive.

"How do you convince a whole nation to do this?" Three factors have been huge in history. Blurring of objective moral lines, elevation of a transcendent good, and dehumanization of people who stand in the way of that good being realized. In the 17-19th centuries the good was maximization of profit from ready cash crops; in the 1930-40s, a purified Lebensraum for a pure people; by 1973, sexual liberty without burden of childrearing. It's easy to be righteous about the first two now, for they have been universally condemned by the sober judgment of history, no matter how many feigned innocence in the moment--but the third will be as well.

Actually, few People ever notice, but in pulp fiction(about 10 years before this movie) , when Vincent Vega takes his Boss's lady out for dinner, thurmans' character explains about doing a pilot of a show about secret killer agents with cool nicknames. Basically the premise of Kill Bill in a nutshell, only more lighthearted and a sitcom, rather than a movie. I find that fascinating. There are too many similarities for it to be sheer coincidence. It's crazy that Uma is thé one to explain the plot and to be acting the lead in this 10 years later. The craziest part is Tarantino must already have had some idea of the plot for this movie, 10 years before he actually made it, at a point in his career he was still up and coming, had made 1 critically acclaimed movie, and just made pulp fiction that could'of been a hit (which it obviously was) or miss (that could've destroyed his career before it really took off).

I ADORED this reaction. Your commentary had me laughing and smiling the whole way through. A tough thing to do for such an overly-serious movie. You had fun watching it AND appreciated all the great cinematic elements about it! You were impressed, liberal with your praise, and gave it an incredibly high score. But people are annoyed you didn’t watch it with the seriousness and reverence they think it demands? Some people are a little too precious with their favourite movies. Two new young guys love the classic movie you love, you don’t get to dictate the mood they need to have while watching.

Been watching you guys for a while now. You're a hoot! Some recommendations: Like someone below said, "The 'Burbs" with Tom Hanks is great. It's my favorite movie of his. It's like this movie in that it's really rewatchable. Also, "The Quick and the Dead" is great. You might also react to "Rope," "Glory," "Lincoln," "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" and "Father of the Bride" (the Steve Martin remake from 1991). A diverse group of movies mixing comedy and drama, but they're all great.

Y'know it only just occurs to me now, after seeing this tons of times, that altering history by saving Clara was already foreshadowed. The gravestone was commissioned by Clara, who was 'supposed' to be dead by then and would never have met him. He also wouldn't have been out there to save her life if not for that conversation with Marty, who had to go back and save him because of the gravestone. So it was always going to have happened, I guess.

Interestingly, the film was originally intended to be black and white. Both black and white and colorized versions are on the DVD. Stephen King found the b/w version much more impactful as do I.

In true Stephen King form, he leaves the reader/viewer at the end with a horrific twist. Life itself is the horror, the fear of living, of not knowing how long the body will cling to life even though it decays around the soul. I think of Mr. Jingles' fate, living alone in an abandoned shack, lingering on and on, a prisoner of sorts, not living but existing, the routine visit from the guard bringing him bread being the only bright spot in a blur of sameness. The man is an evil genius, showing us that we don't go out in a blaze of glory, but quietly, without fanfare, without any acknowledgment, like we all must do eventually. When you're young, life is an adventure full of magic and possibilities. Like finding hidden doors that promise to open into Narnia or some shit. But no, it's another hallway with another door and another. As life goes on, each door looks more mundane than the last. Paul and Mr. Jingles are standing in front of a cheap, dirty, hollow-core mahogany closet door in an abandoned single-wide trailer. It's got holes punched in it and stickers on the lower half. The carpet smells like piss and 50 years of stale cigarettes. The horror is that the last door is just a fucking closet. You get the punchline of a joke you didn't even know God was telling you: the journey was the destination. Awesome. 👌 Thanks, Mr. King.

Not much attention was paid in this reaction when the dragon flys over as the new character, the shipwright, is digging for seafood. But there was a brief scene lasting second in which there is a knowing glance from the new character (whose name, I believe, is Adam of Hull). What we were seeing in that scene was the introduction of a new dragon rider. The dragon flying over was Seasmoke, formerly ridden by Leonor Valeryon. Adam of Hull, I believe, somehow becomes Seasmoke's new rider.

23:26- You two don't comprehend symbolism do you? The story Schultz was telling is a metaphor for Django getting his wife, Broomhilda back. The "fire" is the trials both Django and Schultz go through in each town to get to Broomhilda to get her out because Django obviously loves his wife that much he is willing to go through hell to save her. It was infuriating to watch you not get the symbolism of the story by taking it literal. Jesus Christ.🤦‍♀️

The original name for the computer was going to be the IBM 9000, but when IBM realized what evil it was going to do, They didn't allow their company name to be used. So The production company and writers simply went backwards from each of the letters I-B-M and came up with H-A-L: ergo, Hal 9000 lived!

Showrunner Ryan Condel already confirmed that Erryk (Team Black) was who killed Arryk (Green) since he called Rhaenyra “Your Grace” whereas Arryk addressed her as just princess. Since kinslaying is centered in this series via a Rhaenys trailer, I argue Erryk killed himself because he’s filled with so much grief that he to kill his own twin brother. It was sadder in the book. 😕

I don't think there's any doubt "White Worm" informed on Arryk after seeing him come off the ship. Else why would Erryk have come into the room ready to fight? He clearly knew what was going down. You will get more dragons but I am sad to think of their fate. We know by the time of GOT, there were no adult dragons left. Most died in this war. I'm not looking forward to seeing it.
